I cannot find reliable numbers for 2.6.x; at least one place on the 'net
claims that it does not wrap for 49,000+ days now. I don't have any
clue where in the kernel source one would have to look for that; grep
for "uptime" returns only 78 hits, though, and I could probably narrow
it down with a better regex. I am too tired to think about kernel
sources at the moment, though...
