I'm using ubuntu 10.4.1 LTS and 'aptitude show virtualbox-3.2' shows a
dep for libpython2.6 (>= 2.6). If you're in the same ballpark maybe:
aptitude reinstall virtualbox-3.2
or (just a guess):
aptitude hold virtualbox-3.2

But I have v.2.6 and all is fine. I did the dpkg --force-depends VirtualBox..... and it went in and worked fine when I launched VirtualBox..
