[ale] HOW2 set a 'jpg' as desktop image ?

When I right click on a jpg displayed on Firefox and  Xwindows, I am offered
the option of setting it as Desktop Background. But when I select this
option, nothing happens.

What must be done to actually set the jpg image as the desktop background,
please ?
