[ale] Linux Web cams

I'm looking to set up an in-house web cam to watch the house/kids, etc
with Motion (Thanks Geoff).  I had it working until the cam I was
playing with aparantly blew a circuit or something nasty.  I've gone
through some other various cams and most are either very low quality or
badly supported.

Who has a working usb cam, preferably semi-cheap for starters, that
doesn't take alot of mangling to get working?  Can you give your model #
so I can look em up on the net/ebay?
