[ale] odd error message

When running Konky as a web browser,
I get this message every time I open a new page:

"There was an error loading the module KMOZILLA.
The diagnostics is:
Library files for ".la" not found in paths"

I'm guessing that ".la" is shorthand for "Mozilla."

Can anyone tell me where those library files should be
so I can add the directory to the path?  And if they
aren't even on this box, does anyone know where I might
find them?
Box is a RH 9 upgrade of an RH8 install and neither
browser is working properly.
