I figured this one out the hard way.  Anymore, ALL rebates are handled 
by a 3rd party.  They have rebate clearing houses that handle them.  I 
had a dual rebate on a cdrw from compusa that caused much pain.  But, I 
stayed on top of them and finally they cut me two separate checks, made 
out by Compusa to cover both rebates.

1. Always keep/make copies of everything (receipts, rebate slips and the 
actual sales paper)

2. Stay on top of them.  More then once I was dealing with the two 
organizations pointing at each other.  Persistence paid off.

I'm currently awaiting two rebates from Compusa for the purchase of a 
wintv card.  Both rebates specifically stated that you had to send the 
original upc, which is obviously, impossible.  The manager at Compusa 
told me that all the companies that deal with them are required to 
accept copies of the upc.  We shall see....
