There's a package called xtrlock. It makes the X pointer become a lock,
effectively locking the screen. To unlock it, you have to type your
password.
You could just call it from cron, or, write a little shell script that
just loops over and calls sleep and xtrlock.
Then, there's a package called xwrists or something. Never used it.
Issue apt-cache search wrists.
