[ale] mac address 00:00:00:00:00:00

hi everyone,

i installed Red Hat 7.3 on my laptop last night, and i have a D-Link
11Mbps Wireless pcmcia card in it that isn't working.  when i try to
activate the card i get a mac address of 00:00:00:00:00:00 which is
invalid.  Has anyone seen this?  i experienced the same problem with
Mandrake 8.0 a little while back as well.  it's running the wvlan_cs
module for the card, but something is screwy with the configuration.  i
believe it may be in Ad Hoc mode, but i am not sure at the moment.  any
comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
