Greetings !
Under RedHat-7.2, I've installed another kernel, 2.4.17.
make dep, make bzImage, make modules & make modules_install, /sbin/lilo
....all work as expected.
But at bootup, when I choose the new kernel, I get an error msg -> that
the wrong modules [2.2.x] are being used. I did upgrade from 2.2.12-20
to 2.4.7-10 first, vis-a-vis now attempting to adopt 2.4.17 as default.
I issued 'make mrproper' before building the new kernel. Also using the
same procedure [under Debian-2.4.6 -> to Debian-2.4.17] works fine;
originally 2.2.x.
Insight appreciated,
Courtney
