[ale] HOWTO -> obtain a missing module ?

Good Evening,

Under Debian-2.4.9 what is the simplest way to get the missing module:
scsi_mod.o ?

I guess removing scsi capability from the kernel, then rebuilding it
with it...
would work, but I'm hoping there's better.
