[ale] Apache UserDir permissions

Where can I find what perms are needed for the UserDir directories? I have the
mod_userdir stuff compiled in and httpd.conf has UserDir defined, but I keep
getting "you do not have permission to access ..." type message whenever I try
to access that web page. I left the defaults to public_html and created that
directory off of the /home/user/ directory, and put the sample index.html file
in there.
