[ale] TR4 tape drive

Has anyone had any success with a TR4 tape drive and linux.  We have a
TR4 scsi tape drive on a RH5.2 server that will not accept all of the
scsi commands (i.e. mt fss 1 ).  I have installed a 1/4 tape drive until
we can resolve this issue and it works fine, so I don't believe it is
our controller.  The tape will accept non-scsi commands fine.  Any help
on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
