[ale] Cyrus IMAP problem

I'm trying to set up Cyrus IMAP 1.5.14 with sendmail 8.9.3 on a redhat 5.2
box. Everything ran smooth during the setup (Using the Cyrus mini-howto)
until I fired up cyradm to create mailboxes.

I got this error:

command failed: System I/O error

when I issued 'cm user.keith' so that I could test a mailbox before addins
users.

Any ideas?
