[ale] y2k not a problem, what about sept ?

I was just thinking about programming, since I started as a programmer,
and I came to the conclusion that Y2k is not going to be a problem for
miedum size buiss, but what is going to be a problem is sept 9th....
alot of programs, use 999 as the end of file marker.

My question is, are there any linux programs that do use this method ?
