[ale] modem advice wanted

A few weeks I bought one of these at Computer City (near the Perimeter Mall)
for about $129+tx which, I think, is a real good price.  I don't know if
it's still the same price.  I haven't tried connecting to Mindspring but
it works fine dialing in and out.  Haven't tried 56K mode yet.
