Has somebody been messing around with genksyms while I wasn't looking?

I tried to compile 2.1.54 this morning and it is kicking back that my
genksyms doesn't have a -f flag. Of course genksyms doesn't have a -v
and the date is suspect (6/12/96) , but the file length is 19652.
Is there a newer version and where do I look? (I have tried
ftp.cc.gatech and sunsite, but I am not looking in the right directories
yet.)
