"rpm -e --force" or "rpm -e --nodeps" should get rid of it.
Preferably, however, just do a forced re-install by "rpm -Uvh --force"
BTW, you need both db-1.85 and db-devel-1.85. db provides the library,
while db-devel provides headers and such.
