See if this helps:

[kaboom at ricker kaboom]$ rpm -qf `locate libdb`
aout-libs-1.4-7
db-devel-1.85-11
db-1.85-11
[kaboom at ricker kaboom]$

I believe the aout-libs provides libdb.so.1, while db-1.85 stuff provides
libdb.so.2.
