This would be my suggestion as well. Home Depot, Lowes, etc sell replacement 
plugs. Most even have a strip gage molded in somewhere. IIRC the black wire 
goes to the brass screw, white to silver and green to green. Wrap the bare 
wire ends the same direction the screws tighten and it should be good for 
another 50 years:)
