And patch reminders like that NEVER happen on Linux or OSX during presentations?
Or all the notifications - sounds, bubbles, etc.
I find them offensive, but even at login they are shown ... for example:

I patch weekly, usually on Saturday mornings. Don't need reminders.
Along with nano, the Landscape-nag package is purged (and probably 30 others)
too. Ansible to the rescue to ensure consistency.
