Depends on the upload/download bandwidth and the media type, transfer
completion requirements, and how much security is required. Also depends
on whether you control both sides of the transfer.

Or just use rsync over ssh and let the uploader feel the pain of all
their bandwidth disappearing for the next few hrs.  You can run the
numbers.  Might be best to wait until 8pm or overnight to grab everything.

You can set limits on rsync transfer rates. That would be nice to the
uploader. Use the --bwlimit= option.

But ... I'd probably use a flash drive if the other-side was in metro ATL.

So ... any other requirements you'd like to share?
