[ale] starting apcupsd on boot

Subject: [ale] starting apcupsd on boot

so I installed apcupsd ( and dovecot ), but after a reboot, neither is
running.. I thought chkconfig did that but I get this:
chkconfig --add apcupsd
error reading information on service apcupsd: No such file or directory


not sure what I need to do here..
