Not at all, but like everywhere else in the world, there are things that
visitors may not like.  My parents lived in SA - both are buried there now.
This last visit was to put Mom's ashes into Dad's grave - the family (23 of us)
all came and we partied big time to celebrate Mom's life. I used the trip as an
opportunity to visit friends in Austin (Hook 'Em Horns!) - and made a pilgrimage
to Shiner, Tx to the Spoetzl Brewery http://www.shiner.com/.  speed limit 75 mpg
on Tx-95 was a beautiful drive!

The Shiner webmaster has a great sense of humor - I've conveyed a "beer
emergency" and was personally helped out with backgrounds for every brew they
make. Any interest?  If you take the tour, tell "blondie" I said hello - be
certain to strike up a conversation with Rich during the "free samples" part -
he drives the one-of-a-kind UT Jeep parked outside.  I can recommend the cod
from Friday's Fried Chicken - just up the hill from the brewery on the left. It
was packed with locals.

Now if I could only get a beer distributor in Georgia to order "Shiner Premium",
I'd be happy.  I've been drinking their "boch" since the mid-80s, but premium is
much tastier to me.

While in San Antonio, I did all the remaining "tourist things" - missions,
gardens, etc. that prior trips didn't cover.  Also did Seaworld and a few highly
popular tourist things again with family. Can't get away from that, I suppose.

I don't have any plans to return to SA ever again, but would highly recommend
everyone who likes water even a little to take a trip to der Schlitterbahn for
for 2 days - talk about FUN!  It is worth a special trip just for that park!
