How far WEST?  And SOUTH?

Roanoke is a nice enough town. Bristol, on the border with Tenn., isn't so 
bad if you're a Tenn. football fan.  Grundy, in the far western part of 
the state is the pits. As in open, coal.  Blacksburg, south of Roanoke, is 
the home of Va. Tech (think Enormous State University) and Radford is just 
down the mountain from there.
