I love it, especially since I learned to disable the "semantic desktop"
crap. Although I adopted linux for server duties 10+ years ago, I held
onto Windows for desktop duties much longer. I was a particular fan of
"UltraEdit" for syntax highlighted code editing. Finding "kate" in the
KDE project induced me to give the linux desktop another try, and I
haven't looked back.
I warn friends and family who have also adopted linux that they need to
be running a KDE-based distro if they want effective help from me.
