[ale] Spam advise sought

I have one email address that is getting deluged with spam. All the
rest are normal. The emails are something about $3 per month auto
insurance because of fed legal change, wanting to sell me a spice that
will make me turn into a skinny guy, get my degree certificate without
going to class, etc. I have spam assassin on the server (yes, it's my
system running Centos 6) and using Thunderbird (Ubuntu 10.04) with the
junk mail controls enabled. So far it's running about 30:1 spam:ham.
I've never trained spam assassin since I don't keep mail there and never
figured out how to do the training remotely.
I'm kinda tired of it. Other than turning it off, is there anything I
can do? It's wierd. I'll get these strange emails for a while and then
nothing for a bit then it'll start with a new set of bogus
offers/links/garbage.
Thanks,
Jim.
