[ale] Anyone here ever used CouchDB

I'm working on a side project that stores a lot of semi-structural data (RSS feeds, actually), and I need an excuse to try out CouchDB after telling myself I would for years.

Can anyone speak to the concerns of load balancing, eventual consistency, reliability of data, and performance with Couch? Will I gain more using it over another NoSQL database like Cassandra?
