I am actually using GNOME 3, with all its bells and whistles, and
waiting for GNOME 3.6 to hit Portage...

I rather like the GNOME 3 environment, and the way that it simplifies
working with multiple virtual desktops.  It helps me to compartmentalize
things on my desktop, which is very much worth it to me.

It's also pretty. :-)
