[ale] GA Tech mirror not working?

Just wondering if anyone else is having trouble using the GA Tech
mirror... it seems to be *very* slow.  (I am currently attempting to
sync my Portage tree, and it's going at the rate of about one directory
per minute or so, which is way slower than normal.)
