At the bottom of the page is a link to a Ubuntu Whitepaper about desktops. I
cut and paste below:
Time to upgrade your proprietary
desktop?<http://whitepapers.theregister.co.uk/paper/view/1898/ubuntu-desktopmigration-wp-aw?td=related>
The top 10 reasons to migtrate to Ubuntu. From savings on liscensing to
saemless, low risk
deployment.<http://whitepapers.theregister.co.uk/paper/view/1898/ubuntu-desktopmigration-wp-aw?td=related>
I am appalled. If anyone on the ALE list knows how to slap someone in the
head at Canonical for this, please slap away.
If the foul up was at the Register, Canonical needs to do some slapping of
their own.

As long as the general population is passive, apathetic, diverted to
consumerism or hatred of the vulnerable, then the powerful can do as they
please, and those who survive will be left to contemplate the outcome.
