I have a Toshiba Netbook NB255. Atom dual core, 1GB RAM (expandable to 2), 160GB drive, 10.1" 1024X600 screen.
Came with Windows 7 starter edition. Installed openSUSE 11.4 via bootable usb.
Everything worked right out of the box. Camera, sound, wired/wireless video, the works.
Running everything I run on my 64-bit notebook, with the exception of VMware workstation.
Performance is surprisingly good. Highly recommended.

Is there a preferred distro of linux to use? I was thinking of using one of
the mint 10 LXDE, either debian based or ubuntu based.
