[ale] GRUB2 graphics

I need some help here.

I've just spent the last 3 hours revamping my desktop and installing
Ubuntu 11.04.  Most of that time was spent copying all my old stuff off
and putting it onto and external USB drive.

I've got 11.04 up and running but I can't see GRUB.  My LCD is a nice
22" LCD but it tells me "Input Type Not Supported" when GRUB2 presents
me with my boot options.  This version of GRUB is new to me so can
someone please tell me what to do in grub.cfg to make it do the old text
version.
