[ale] [Slightly OT] Laptop Recommendations/Warnings

1. See what is available on sale in the Fry's ad on Fridays, other
vendors on Sunday.
2. Best Buy has been doing 12 or 18 months same as cash ($10/mo
minumum payment, actually), but heaven help you if you are late on a
payment...
3. I personally like machines with pigtail connected power jacks, as
they are a lot easier to replace than the soldered in ones... Lenovo
is the one I am most familar with, and seems to use this on their
models, as does HP on some of the models. Power jacks are the most
common failure mode around my house...
