Up until 2007, I think outerz0ne was interz0ne. A shift in
the organizer team, after 2006, I think.

The Interz0ne focus was on white hat hacking and code
games and such. I was invited to Interz0ne IV in 2005 and
gave a talk on the vote fraud of Zero evidence electronic
systems and how they undermine all our elections. Talk
about preaching to the choir!

Back in 2005 it seemed a pretty modest con with maybe
a couple hundred attendees.   It looks like the outerz0ne
organizers have added some diversity of activity.
