It's useful speeds for microcontrollers at speeds and power levels
the rest of the electronics package can support. I'd rather have a
rock solid 9600 baud serial, than flakey GigE for a controller.
Hopefully in these cases, it's rock solid USB and 10Mbps ethernet.
And yeah.. I still deal with 9600 baud serial...
