The problem is that your physical partition is not a straight filesystem any more. Instead, it is a container that holds a volume group and component logical volumes. What you need to do is add it's volume group to your suse machine, then mount the new logical volumes it gives you.
Take a look at kpartx, its a program that let's you access more complicated disk devices.
