[ale] Fstab fails

Can you think of any reason why fstab would not be read on reboot. Ubuntu
lucid have an nfs share that was not mounted automagically when I rebooted
the client machine. Broke a bunch of stuff.

PS mount -a picked up and mounted the nfs directory.
