[ale] Anyone have experience with LVDS pairing?

I have a gorgeous 20" display on the G4 iMac that I would like to
connect to one of these tiny SBCs that I see so many of. What I don't
know is if it is reasonable to think I could ever find compatible
standards. Anyone ever tried something like this? (For example
connecting a laptop display to a micro-ATX.)
