[ale] Offtopic: Projector Bulb Renovators?

At one point, I thought a surefire idea was to take in the old 'sleds' 
from LCD projectors, and renovate them with new bulbs, since the bulbs 
are usually less than $20. (I was able to do this on some BIG old sharp 
projectors we had, for $25; but they didn't have soldered connections.)

Finally, I see at least one place has done this:

Has anybody tried this or any other company in this business? Or, 
barring that, know of a good reliable source for bulbs?
