[ale] Before I get in to shell scripting for my htpc box...

So before I get into script writing- and trust me, nobody wants that-
does anybody know of a solution that will allow you to perform IR
selection of a kernel at bootup. For example, from Grub.

Barring this, I'm going to do the smallest shell I can find that will
boot up, allow me to select a choice of boot, rewrite prefs, and then
boot the selected kernel. Then after it boots, it'll rewrite back to the
smallest shell again.

I'm doing this because I realized on my tv-connect box (aspire revo) I
had more HD space than I could use, and it was easier to have multiple
partitions for different options than to try to make all the options
play nice.

Thanks,
David
