I saw a really crazy worst case post to the effect:
The dispersant BP spread is deadly to plants and micro-organisms such
as bacteria. It's just below the surface all around the gulf. A
hurricane picks it up and spreads it across the entire eastern coast
wiping out all life from the bottom-up and the entire east coast
becomes a dead zone!
Somehow, I have as much trouble believing this as what XKCD had to say.
fyi: Even they said the dispersant is supposedly only deadly for 28
days. If so, and we live through June, we're golden! :)
