[ale] A question http authenticate.

I am using https and https authenticate on a web server.  I may have
something misconfigured.
When these are used together and you have the login dialog box appear
after typing in the https:// address, Is it suppose to show the
https://address or would it show the http://address.

Specifically I am using
nginx
nginx pam module, nginx https module, nginx proxy module.
