[ale] Google voice on android

So I got a Google voice account and the app on the moto droid from Google
doesn't work. It tries to read the phones voice mail settings and hangs. I
let it run all last night to see if it would finish
No joy.
Attempts to rerun the initial config fail instantly requiring removal and
reinstall.
Grr.
