[ale] auto start

I don't have it handy at the moment, but there is a setting in GRUB 2 for
setting a timeout at the boot menu. You can also tell it a default with no
timeout so that it will, for example, always boot the first item in the
list.

If you haven't found it when I get back to a PC, I will post the config
settings.
