[ale] Ubuntu Update Manager Package Information

Subject: [ale] Ubuntu Update Manager Package Information

For some reason, I cannot download the Ubuntu Update Manager Package 
Information files.  Normally, it downloads about 33 files of current 
package version information.  Today, it just "hangs" on the first file. 
  Is it me, or "the system?"
