[ale] mouse question

So I replaced my aging logitech wireless keyboard/mouse with a new 
logitech keyboard/mouse.  As on the previous mouse there is a scroll 
wheel that functions as a middle button.

Problem is, the middle button no longer works?  I've not done anything 
but swap the hardware out.  Both are bluetooth.

Any ideas?
