[ale] Initial configuration.

Looking for ideas on how to do the following.
When customer receives a server we have built I'd like the default
behavior would be for user to be shown a text based wizard that would
drive them to set the IP address and root password.
We are basing this on a redhat 5.0 system.
Any suggestions on how to do this?
