For those that use FireGPG plugin to access GPG signatures and encryption capabilities from Firefox on a Gmail account the proper format to compose messages with is "Rich Text". If "Plain Text" is used the GPG signatures will fail due (most likely) to a language encoding format error that changes the output of the message body _after_ the signature is generated.
Personally, I count this as a bug and will report it as such to FireGPG. The signature _should_ wrap the body with no alteration of formatting or requirement of text encoding. In fact, that text encoding should be included in the signature as that is how the message was generated.
ranting aside, FireGPG is beta and still a nice plugin.
all bets are off on encryption....
