Just saw this story:

Interesting idea given IBM already makes AIX and Sun makes Solaris.

 

It's also interesting that they seem to lump all server sales together
(CISC/RISC) in their market share calculation.   From everything I've
seen Sun still has the lion's share of the UNIX market.

 

Given IBM's push of Linux I wonder if they'll abandon OpenSolaris after
a takeover.
