This is the main feature I miss from when I worked with Macs. Firewire
target disk mode was very nice. I'm glad the that linux kernel supports
a USB version. If only PC hardware could be easily switched to device
mode, this would be a perfect feature for Splashtop or one of the the
other "instant on" mini distros that are included on some motherboards.
